Why a Quilt of Love...

About three weeks ago my husband and I found out that we have been approved for an international adoption with CCAI, Yeah and so we are adopting a child from Haiti and so I wanted to make a quilt (which I have never done before) to take with us on our very first trip to meet our new son or daughter. My intention is to make a small crib sized quilt and then make a twin bed sized quilt to match for when they come home, hence the name quilt of love because this will be a quilt that I pour all my love, blood (pin pricks), sweat (it's hot in the sewing room) and tears (I get frustrated easily when I don't have a clue what I'm doing) into for our new child.

So I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures into the international adoption world and my escapades into the quilting world
